From a very young age, I was certain that my future would involve becoming a teacher. After completing my bachelor's degree in 2006, I took on the role of an elementary teacher. I cherished and truly embraced my time in the classroom for a remarkable 15 years. During those years, I not only finished my master's degree, but I also gained invaluable insights into various aspects such as childhood development and behavior.

In 2020, my family and I decided to install a pool in our backyard, and my foremost concern was that my youngest daughter, Rylee, did not know how to swim. As I began to research effective ways to ensure her safety around water, I discovered Shoreline Infant Aquatics in New Buffalo, Michigan. I enrolled my 20-month-old into the program where she attended 10-minute lessons, three days a week, for a total of eight weeks, and I was absolutely astounded by the progress she made in such a short time. Susan Willey, the instructor at Shoreline Infant Aquatics, made me the biggest believer in the effectiveness of the Infant Aquatics program.

As I continued taking Rylee for maintenance lessons, God started a dream in my heart, prompting me to explore the idea of becoming an instructor myself. With Susan's encouragement and unwavering support, I attended an intensive six-week training program in Longmont, Colorado, led by the founder of Infant Aquatics, Judy Heumann. I, subsequently, returned home to instruct and work with Susan at Shoreline.

In 2024, an exciting opportunity arose where I could teach in a pool that was closer to home and in the same community I taught in for 15 years. This is when Next Level Infant Aquatics was born, allowing me to share my passion for water safety and swimming skills with families in our local community.
